Carriage House
In 2007, the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit also partnered with the Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Corporation to transform an abandoned early-20th Century carriage house into a community gallery and creative gathering space. In addition to these accomplishments, the CAID has been involved in a plethora of other visual, musical and performance art events throughout its thirty-one years of history in Detroit.
Carriage House Gallery is a late 18th century carriage house located in the Historic Woodbridge District just blocks from the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit (CAID). This new facility will enable CAID to provide an exciting new residency program for local artists.
Whitdel Arts is a division of CAID. Whitdel Arts is an 1800 sq ft professional Art exhibition space in Detroit that showcases the work of local and international established and emerging artists.
